Planning – Part 6 (Putting It All Together)

Hi, guys!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted any updates but I’ve been super busy finishing up the plan draft, which includes the outline, character profiles, scene list, setting and dialogue ideas.

Now that that’s done, I’m putting it all together and trying to make it more coherent. I decided to transfer everything onto revision cards and made a little booklet, separating each category with colored card.

This makes it so much easier to find what I’m looking for. Doing this also gives me opportunity to go through the plan draft, letting me find inconsistencies in the plot (or other categories), make changes and basically finalize the plan.

I’m thinking this post is possibly the last about planning. Now it’s time to officially start my first draft! I’m super excited to continue from the couple of pages I wrote a few day ago.

On a side note, I’ve got a title down for my novel. I quite like the sound of it but it may just be temporary. Being an indecisive person, I wouldn’t be surprised if I change it multiple times by the time I get to the end of the novel. I do tend to worry about the title not being original or attractive. I’m glad I still have some time to think about alternatives.
